Position Summary
Custom Tower LLC is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Office Administrator to serve as the operational backbone of our office. This individual will manage all human resources functions, handle front-office responsibilities, maintain critical state and contractor licensing, and support daily administrative operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Administer all HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining employee files
- Manage benefits enrollment and changes, and serve as point of contact for employee benefits questions
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Track and manage employee vacation, PTO, sick leave, and time-off requests
- Assist with recruiting, interview scheduling, and new-hire paperwork
- Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality
- Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies
Licensing & Compliance
- Maintain and renew all company state business licenses
- Track and renew contractor licenses across all operating jurisdictions
- Monitor expiration dates and ensure timely renewals to avoid lapses
- Maintain organized records of certifications, insurance, and regulatory documentation Office Administration
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain digital and physical filing systems
- Order and manage office supplies and equipment
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and shipments
- Provide general administrative support to ownership and field operations
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks and recordkeeping as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of office management and/or HR administrative experience
- Working knowledge of HR practices and employment law fundamentals
- Experience with state/contractor licensing strongly preferred (construction or trades industry a plus)
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) and OneDrive
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
- Familiarity with the telecommunications, tower, or construction industry
