About Leadership Exchange:
One Acadiana’s Leadership Exchange is a program that allows Acadiana’s top business and community leaders to explore challenges and innovations in another part of the country. Every two years, a group of roughly 70 leaders embark on a three-day trip to a city known for its success in areas that are important to Acadiana, such as regional economic development, workforce development, infrastructure investment, and urban revitalization.

The goal of Leadership Exchange is to expose Acadiana leaders to new ideas and best practices that they can bring back home to strengthen our own communities and region. The program also helps to build relationships between leaders from different sectors and places, leading to new connections and partnership opportunities.

Why Chattanooga?
With a city population of 185,000+ and a metro area of nearly half a million residents, Chattanooga has earned national recognition as one of the South’s most dynamic mid-sized cities. Once a manufacturing powerhouse, the city has undergone a multi-decade transformation fueled by bold public-private partnerships, strategic investment in its urban core, and a nationally known commitment to innovation.

Chattanooga’s municipally owned, community-wide high-speed fiber network, similar to Lafayette’s, has earned the city the nickname “Gig City” and helped position it as a proving ground for emerging technology and economic growth.

Mirroring several opportunities and challenges facing Acadiana, this exchange will explore:

  1. A long-term, community-driven vision for revitalization, including the 40-year effort that helped Chattanooga evolve from “the dirtiest city in America” to one of the nation’s most celebrated mid-sized cities, as well as major new investments shaping the next phase of downtown and urban-core redevelopment.
  2. Philanthropy and public-private partnerships as engines of community revitalization, demonstrating how civic alignment and strategic investment have accelerated transformative projects and strengthened the city’s economic competitiveness.
  3. How technology can power economic transformation, highlighting Chattanooga’s progression from “Gig City” to “Quantum City” as its municipally owned fiber network becomes the platform for emerging technologies, business attraction, and innovation-driven growth.
  4. Innovative approaches to talent and workforce development, including collaborative, sector-specific pathways that connect residents with high-demand careers and support long-term economic mobility.

Pricing: 

  • Early Bird Registration: $3,000 (December 3, 2025 – April 3, 2026)
  • General Registration: $3,200 (April 4-August 24, 2026)

Upon checkout, registrants will have the option to pay by credit card or request an invoice. All invoiced Early Bird registrations must be paid by April 3, 2026. All invoiced General registrations must be paid by August 28, 2026.

Tickets Include:

  • Round-trip transportation via chartered flight
  • Single accommodations for a two-night stay in the The Westin Hotel – Chattanooga
  • Select meals throughout the trip
  • Access to all event sessions, workshops, and idea exchanges
  • Exclusive networking opportunities with industry leaders
  • Event materials and resources

Air travel, lodging, and select meals are included in your ticket and will be arranged by One Acadiana staff. Registrants do not need to book their own flights or hotel accommodations.

Refunds & Transfers:

  • All registrations are non-refundable. However, tickets are fully transferable to another guest if you are unable to attend.
  • Refund Protection through a third party will be available as an optional add-on at checkout, allowing you to protect your non-refundable registration.

Optional Refund Protection (Third-Party Insurance via Vertical Insure):

Refund Protection Includes:

  • Reimbursement of up to 100% of non-refundable registration fees
  • Coverage if the registered participant is unable to attend due to:
    • Sudden illness or injury
    • Family emergencies
    • Unexpected work conflicts
    • Weather-related travel issues
  • Coverage begins the day after the policy is issued

Participation in Refund Protection is optional and may be accepted or declined during checkout. Refund Protection is only available for payments made by credit card and will be automatically declined for guests opting to pay by check or invoice. 

All Refund Protection payments and any related refund claims are processed directly with Vertical Insure and are not administered by One Acadiana. Any claims associated with this policy must be submitted directly by the registrant to the third-party insurance provider in accordance with their terms and conditions.

Please note: If a ticket is transferred to another guest, the Refund Protection policy does not transfer and will no longer apply.
