Position Overview:
We’re looking for a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives, cultivate client relationships, and identify new opportunities within the transportation and oilfield services sectors across Texas and Louisiana. If you’re a natural hunter with a passion for building strong partnerships and a track record of success in sales, this is the opportunity for you.

This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional service delivery while expanding our presence in the market. Candidates must bring prior experience in transportation and/or oilfield industries, and a deep understanding of these communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Lead and support a regional Business Development team.
• Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
• Manage the full sales cycle – from prospecting and quoting to onboarding and long-term account management.
• Develop a deep understanding of UVL's services and competitive landscape.
• Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions and fulfill client needs.
• Contribute to proposal development for new projects.
• Establish and track short- and long-term goals in alignment with the VP of Sales.
• Ensure performance targets, KPIs, and budget expectations are consistently met.
• Represent the company at industry conferences and networking events.
• Prepare and deliver impactful sales presentations and marketing materials.
• Regularly utilize CRM tools to track activity, pipeline, and customer engagement.

Qualifications:

• Proven success in sales, business development, or account management within logistics, transportation, or oil & gas.
• Strong leadership and team management experience.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly.
• Must reside in the greater Lafayette, LA area.
