Not For Profit
Acadiana Animal Aid (AAA) is the largest local animal welfare organization in the area, dedicated to fostering a healthy community through compassion for animals. For 50 years, AAA has played a vital role in rescuing animals from overcrowded and under-resourced communities. We accept pets at risk of euthanasia from municipal shelters across the state, providing them with veterinary care and daily support while creating pathways to their future homes. Through adult and youth education, volunteer opportunities, foster care, transportation, and adoption programs, we strive to reduce pet overpopulation.
Our commitment to saving pets in our region is unwavering. In 2024, we successfully rescued nearly 2,000 cats and dogs through local and out-of-state adoptions and transport.
