The Intimacy Practice is a specialized counseling practice in Lafayette, Louisiana, founded by Kate Lemoine, LPC. Kate provides individual therapy, couples counseling, and sex therapy for adults navigating where relationships, identity, and healing intersect. Kate's clinical specialties include trauma recovery, attachment and relational repair, infidelity, sexual health and functioning, and the ways early life experiences shape how we connect as adults. Kate brings advanced training trauma, relational, and somatic (body-based) approaches to therapy. The Intimacy Practice is grounded in the understanding that lasting change happens not just in how we think, but in how we experience safety, connection, and intimacy in our bodies and relationships. Kate holds over two decades of experience in bodywork and somatic practice alongside her clinical licensure. She is also the developer of Organic Intimacy Theory, an original clinical framework exploring how intimacy forms and deepens through somatic experience. The Intimacy Practice serves individuals and couples seeking meaningful, lasting shifts. Kate works with clients who are ready to look honestly at the patterns showing up in their relationships, their sense of self, and their capacity for closeness.
