THIS MONTH | Join us for the gallery opening of Anna Teer and Baylee Bourque’s in-progress project, Magic in the Mundane! 🧚🏼‍♀️✨*Due to Mardi Gras parades, we’ve rescheduled our regular ArtWalk gallery opening to Saturday the 21st*

Magic in the Mundane is a multidisciplinary art series by ProjectSpace artists Anna Teer and Baylee Bourque, reimagining southern upbringing through wearable mask art and dance. Drawing directly from nature and the artist's childhood experiences, Anna and Baylee have created sculptural masks that embody the overlooked, forgotten, or misunderstood icons of our environment- Images that are often cast aside but hold a deep, personal meaning. This project is a direct call to the inner child of us all. From the curious, the whimsical, and overall wild, it invites all aspects of wonder to take up space, to breathe in the real world. It is a reclamation- an act to embody the magic we all carry, and to use it proudly without shame. By sharing our memories with the community, Anna and Baylee hope to create space for others to recall and share their own "unloved" or forgotten moments. Through building a communal archive of appreciation, curiosity, and ecological respect, Magic in the Mundane is a preservation of the most sacred aspects of the everyday.
