Turning 65 is one of the most critical birthdays of your life because it likely marks the day when you’re officially eligible for Medicare. Your initial enrollment window begins three months before you turn 65 and ends three months after you turn 65.

During this period, you may want to consider additional coverage, such as a Medicare Supplement plan. During your initial enrollment period, you can choose a Medicare Supplement plan without having to go through medical underwriting. Making the right decisions means getting the coverage you desire at an affordable cost. Remember, you only have one initial enrollment period.
